All-new Subaru Uncharted SEV rewrites the rules of electric performance

Uncharted builds on Subaru’s long-standing high-performance pedigree, expressed through a new form of capability. Having pioneered the small SUV segment with the XV in 2012, Subaru once again redefines expectations with the introduction of a Sport Electric Vehicle (SEV). It’s dynamic, fun, fearless and unmistakably Subaru.

Arriving locally in mid-2026, the all-new Subaru Uncharted defines a new category, taking everything you expect from a true SUV and adding the thrill of high-performance.

Power is delivered to all four wheels through Subaru’s renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, bringing performance and adventurous spirit into a new electric era. With immediate response, precise control and consistent capability across mixed surfaces, it delivers an engaging drive shaped by Subaru’s trusted engineering expertise and enduring philosophies.

Dual electric motors produce 252kW of combined power and an estimated 0–100km/h time of five seconds. Acceleration is immediate and linear, supported by the vehicle’s compact dimensions and tuned dynamics to deliver agility and responsiveness whether navigating tight city streets or open road conditions.

A 74.7kWh CATL battery provides a driving range of up to 522km¹, while DC fast charging of up to 150kW can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 30 minutes². The addition of 22kW three phase AC charging offers further flexibility at home or public chargers.  Uncharted also features 1500W Vehicle to Load (V2L) capability, allowing compatible devices to be powered directly from the vehicle.

Staying true to Subaru’s SUV capability, Uncharted features 211mm of ground clearance³ and a comprehensive suite of traction and control technologies including Symmetrical All Wheel Drive, X-Mode and Downhill Assist Control.

Uncharted’s exterior showcases a distinctive fastback silhouette with a rearward‑sloping roofline to enhance aerodynamics and reinforce its sporty intent. A wide stance, 20‑inch alloy wheels, bold LED lighting and a vibrant colour palette contribute to a striking, modern presence on the road.

Inside, a modern driver focused cabin centres around a large 14-inch touchscreen, dual wireless device charging4 and wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity5. Key functions retain physical switchgear for intuitive, distraction-minimising operation.

Uncharted continues Subaru’s commitment to safety with a comprehensive suite of intelligent safety and driver-assist technologies, including Subaru Safety Sense, Subaru Vision Assist with Blind Spot Monitoring, a 360-Degree View Monitor and Driving Monitoring System (DMS).

"Uncharted has been engineered from the ground up as a true driver's car – sharp, responsive and incredibly rewarding behind the wheel. It doesn’t just take on a corner; it invites you to push further. This is a vehicle that brings a new level of excitement and fun to the Subaru line-up," said Subaru Australia General Manager, Scott Lawrence.

“But what really defines Uncharted isn’t the electric powertrain, it’s everything that makes a Subaru, a Subaru. Decades of engineering, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a low centre of gravity all come together to create a drive that’s more engaging, more connected and genuinely fun, with the control and confidence you expect from us.

“There’s never been a Subaru quite like Uncharted. The response is immediate, the dynamics are sharp, and the whole experience just draws you in — it’s something you feel the moment you get behind the wheel.”

The confirmation of Uncharted follows the recent introduction of the 2026 Solterra and reveal of the all-new Trailseeker. Together, the three models mark Subaru’s shift from a single EV offering to an electric SUV family, spanning small, medium and large segments, all underpinned by Subaru’s latest electric platform.
